Our educational philosophy
The educational philosophy of Precious Beginnings Preschool is God-centered and is based on the belief that God’s laws, principles, ethics and standards are absolute truth and that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We teach that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the creator and sustainer of all things. We believe that each child is uniquely created by God and develops at an individual rate (Genesis 1:26; Psalm 139:13-16). Early childhood is a crucial time for social, emotional, cognitive, physical and spiritual growth. To foster growth, we encourage the development of skills through play and interaction with people and objects in their environments. It is important to provide quality learning experiences within the classroom which are meaningful to the child. Because we believe that children learn by example (Deuteronomy 6:7), our teachers of young children hold a biblical worldview and live a Christian lifestyle in their home, school and community.
Our purpose
- To instill in the child a heart to please God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
- To diligently present the Bible clearly so that it might have its work in the child’s life.
- To educate each child as an individual while planning their activities, interacting with them, challenging them and caring for them.
- To understand their responses and support them in meeting their needs.
- To give each child a positive learning experience in early education.
Curriculum
Our curriculum provides a rich learning environment and developmentally appropriate activities. The educational program integrates language, pre-reading, math, science, music, movement, art, fine motor skills and basic truths from the Bible. Our staff will enhance the curriculum with their own special skills and creativity to serve as a foundation for developing Christian attitudes of loving, helping and sharing and an appreciation for God’s creation.
